Our CASA program belongs to a network of 951 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate in juvenile court for the best interests of children who have been abused and neglected

The Kiwanis Club of Oak Ridge will feature guest speaker Kesha Waters, CASA of the Tennessee Heartland executive director, who will speak Tuesday, Nov. 11. on the nonprofit's current initiatives.

The sixth annual event returns from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at The Bramble, 206 Gay St., Erwin. The boil will include live music, door prizes and a silent auction, with all proceeds supporting abused and neglected children through CASA of Northeast Tennessee.
